Tom Bennett - PCIS Board Chair

Tom is an advisor, director and software executive consultant with more than 20 years of software industry experience. He has spent most of his career as a co-president and former CTO for Maximizer Software. He helped grow the Maximizer business by more than 50% over four years.

Tom has also served as one of the original architects of that company's very popular contact management product, Maximizer. Bennett was named one of the Top 50 Technology Innovators by VARBusiness Magazine and is a Champion of the BCTIA CTO
Roundtable Group.

Tom O’Flaherty - PCIS Advisor

Tom is a consultant, advisor, director and mentor to a number of technology companies throughout British Columbia. He has over 20 years of senior executive and CEO experience in the technology industry, where he has spent time starting, expanding and restructuring private and public technology companies. O’Flaherty began his career at Xerox, after which he co-founded Bedford Software (later acquired by Computer Associates), where he created the Sage Simply Accounting software. He founded Richmond Technologies and brought Maximizer to market.

After Maximizer was acquired by Modatech, Tom eventually became CEO. He then joined finance industry leader Ernst & Young as Vice President of Corporate Finance, and worked with a number of British Columbia technology companies. He then became president of Voice Mobility, helping bring a uniquely unified communications technology to market. He has also served on the boards of ACETECH, Softworld, BCIT Technology Centre, BCTIA, Technical University of British Columbia, Vancouver Board of Trade Advanced Technology Task Force and the Advanced Systems Institute.
